Hi Fi. (High Fidelity) - What's the world coming to ?

Naturally, I'm also very interested in reproducing quality sound in the home. Recently, it seems compressed audio has become virtually mainstream (Mp3 etc), and this is quite worrying. I believe people should pay importance to something, if it's worth having. If a cd is worth buying, it's worth buying. Simple. The fact that MP3s can be downloaded off the net , for free, is to me, personally, immaterial.

I wouldn't want compressed, low quality copies, of worthless tracks, that were made by the same type of people who download them for free. I can see this being a massive problem for the record companies, but whose to blame ?

The total and ruthless manufacturing, of teeny pop bands, et al, is simply showing no respect to genuine music lovers, whilst talented artists are ignored, so that the under 12 audience gets main priority. In the end, it's like anything , you reap what you sow.
